Frank's Power Plant (Milwaukee, WI) 5/6/2011

Milwaukee...it's Algonquin for the good land...

Sure is Mr. Cooper.  Frank's Power Plant was the shiz.

Thank you to Afraid of Dave and Arkady for sharing the stage.

Afraid of Dave taught us a lesson that night... don't let mishaps get you down...so what if your guitar strap breaks.. you can always play sitting down.

We took that lesson to heart... I mean so what if you fall off your bass amp and come crashing into the drums... you can always play laying down...

Haha serioulsy though Tony kicks ass...if you would have seen his hand after the show you would have been amazed that he got through the rest of the set without fainting from blood loss. I post this vid as an homage to him and his unwavering constitution.

The rest of the night was awesome.  We ate some peanuts, drank some beers and hung out with tons of cool folks.

Huge thanks to Claire for putting us up for the night. She is awesome.

Brewed Cafe & Stone Fly Brewery (Milwaukee, WI) - 6.4.2010

Our trip to Milwaukee this past weekend started off with an acoustic set at the Brewed Cafe on Brady street. Brady street was a good time, we visited a smoke shop, a record store, and a place that sold futons.

Here's a clip of our performance at Brewed Cafe.

The day carried on with a visit to an art gallery to see some of the latest works painted by our good friend Jason Ludtke.

Then it was off to A.J. Bombers to meet up with some friends and watch game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals.

With heavy hearts from a game 4 Blackhawks disaster we took the stage at the Stone Fly Brewery... but soon forgot our woes and got down to doing what we love to do...

Jumping on each other's stuff.

As you may be noticing from the pics and videos above, this was also the first time we performed with guitarist Adam Knoernschild. Turns out Adam is a peach, and a pleasure to share the stage with.

"Wait...what?" you might be saying... Well, to catch you up, a few weeks ago our band-mate and long-time friend Tony Focht announced to us that he will be leaving Verona Red to tackle some new life adventures. While we are saddened to see him go, we are excited for him and wish him all the best. We are VERY happy to say that this is NOT a 'never see you again' type of goodbye...keep an eye out for Tony Focht appearances down the road, and perhaps even a farewell party for the Fantastic Mr. Focht in the near future.

Special thanks to all our Milwaukee friends and fans who came out this weekend. It had been way too long! Till next time Milwaukee...

We Get Our Furry Fix In Milwaukee This Friday!

Was trying to get an idea of what Milwaukee folks like for our show there this Friday, and came across this.  So far it seems like furries and slam dunks are the ticket.  If someone brings a 20 foot ladder I will try it.

Verona Red gets dangerous with some Furries in Milwaukee this Friday June 4!

WHERE: Stonefly Brewery, 735 East Center Street
WHEN: Friday, June 4 at 9:30pm
COST: $5
WITH: Milwaukee rockers Mr. Deagun Jones (http://www.myspace.com/mrdeagunjones)
and The Last Rhino (http://www.myspace.com/thelastrhinomusic)
SHOW: 21+

We'll also be doing a pre-show acoustic performance at Brewed Cafe (1208 E. Brady St) starting at 5:30.

Excited to splash the good times all over Milwaukee's face!

Points East Pub (Milwaukee, WI) 5/15/2009

This was our last show on the road with long time bassist and good friend Taz Rashid.  We had a few more subsequent shows in Chicago with his brown ass, but after that he became a giant and we never saw him again (oddly enough).

Unfortunately, all photographic records of this show have been lost.  So we hired actors to re-enact the performance.
