TV Debut On Bad Girls Club

Our music made it's national television debut last week on Bad Girls Club season 9 episode 7!

Pretty rad.

If you have it on the DVR check it out, it's on Monday's on Oxygen.  There's a snippet of Big Mean Boogie around minute 13 and even more of Kitchen Song around minute 26.

A lot of our music has been inspired by crazy women (this was meant as a compliment), so it's pretty at home here.

I'll be sure to post the link when the episode becomes available on Hulu.  If you can't wait that long, we'll be on another episode of Bad Girls Club on Monday Sept. 10. 10PM ET/9 PM CT.  Can't wait to see what they get into this time.

Thanks to the music supervisors at Oxygen and our friends at Tinderbox for making this happen!

House of Blues Chicago - 7/12/2012... And Catching Up

House of Blues (Chicago, IL) - 7/21/2012

Props to Tanya and mom for snapping these.  It was a such a fun night, was great to see these pop up on the web the next morning.  Tanya works wonders with a camera phone.

Also, was a pleasure to be joined by Dan Baker on the blues harp.

Chicago Rock And Roll Half Marathon (Chicago, IL) - 7.22.2012

Six very quick hours later we arrived at 18th and Lakeshore in the South Loop to perform at mile 11 of the Rock And Roll Half Marathon.

We shared the stage with The Madison Letter.  Cool guys.  It was a pleasure to spend the morning with them and the race organizers.  Was really a treat to perform for the runners/spectators for an event like this.  As tired as we were when we arrived at 4 AM, watching the runners as they pushed themselves through the 11th mile a few hours later really energized us and put our tired feelings into perspective pretty quickly.

Up And Under Pub (Milwaukee, WI) - 6.8.2012

This one was a while back.  Really nice club.  Loved The Addy Janes.  Theirs was the first show where I've seen a fan do a cartwheel in a sundress.

Thanks to Rock Zimmerman for the great photos.

Pearson Lawn Rock-A-Thon (Lawrence, KS) 4/14/2012

Our first trip to Lawrence was awesome. Kids there know how to party. Even when "life threatening storms" are imminent.

They also know how to make banners amidst such danger

And draw

Eventually the skies cleared... Tony in his element.

Thanks all the kids at Pearson who organized the show and also to those that came out and partied. We were so happy to be a part of it.  Can't wait to get back to Brick House.

...And We're Back

Hey ya'll, it's been a while. This is the first post in over a month. And before that you may have noticed there wasn't anything really Verona Red related since November.

Why you ask?

Well, 2011 was a whacky year (1 new record, 3 tours, 10 SXSW shows, our first Summergasm, and a whole bunch of stuff (Doritos) I don't remember anymore).

A vacation was in order, so that's exactly what we did. It's the first one we've ever taken, so we used the opportunity to do all things we've missed out on like...

Throwing back a few Green Rivers

Wearing Christmas sweaters

Visiting New Orleans

Indulging ourselves

Wearing socks

Getting felt up at a wedding

Hanging out with the guy from the Men's Warehouse commercials (back of head with the bald spot)

Beer-festing

Growing mullets

And most importantly... writing new music... okay so I guess it wasn't really a full-on vacation...

Anyway, it's good to be back in the swing of Verona Red things. We're feeling cheery and well-rested, and hoping you are all doing well too. Thank you for coming back. We missed you.

We've got some big announcements in the next few days, so keep your eyes affixed to this page please.
