My inner toddler finally gave up on me today ever since he found out that apparently "scientists" have determined that the Triceratops was a not a real species of dinosaur. Who was battling the T-Rex in all those movies? I guess neither of us will ever know...anyway. Scientists now say that triceratops is merely the juvenile form of torosaurus. As the animal aged, its horns changed shape and orientation and its frill became longer, thinner and less jagged. Finally it became fenestrated, producing the classic torosaurus form.
So just to recap: The triceratops...not a real dinosaur species.
